my blanket- a metaphore
A blanked provides safety and comfort. Its the one thing that you can rely on, its always there on your bed or with you, it can give you shelter, a hug, or someone to wipe the tears away. But nothing good ever lasts, you either outgrow the blanket, or it becomes to thick and you get overwelmed by the heat, or its to thin and you freeze; it gets wholes and it can never be the same. Even though its the one thing that is causing you discomfort, you still want it, because its just there it provides shelter where you can behind it, from new things that get thrown in your way. But at one point in your life, that blanket will just find away to leave your side, and when it does, in my experience it isn't sad. It's really happy that the discomfort and pain is gone, but its frightning cause the one thing that hasn't changed, just did, and now your left with just you and no additional baggage. It gives you freedom, but freedom isn't a good thing all the time because often when one heartbreak leaves, another comes upon you.
